Churches in Hormead Parish

St Nicholas'

Great Hormead Buntingford
(01763) 289258
http://www.quintetchurches.com

A rural church located to the east of Buntingford serving the communities of Great and Little Hormead and Hare Street. There are Sunday morning services most weeks and details can be found on our benefice website. The quintessential country church is located in the centre of an attractive country churchyard in a conservation area (13c church, restored by Victorians). The building is open as often as possible for visitors and is located on the network of footpaths that make up the Hertfordshire Way.

A sympathetic extension, added westwards from the tower in 2008, consisting of Church room, kitchen and WC, has added modern facilities for welcome, training and community use. Sadly, the theft of lead from our roof and constant threat of further thefts has meant that have had to go lead-free.

We are part of a wider Benefice comprising Great Hormead with Wyddial, Anstey, Brent Pelham and Meesden.
